Coined by Oscar Wilde in his play The Importance of Being Ernest, the word "Bunbury" means an imaginary person one pretends to visit as an excuse to get out of an obligation to others. So make plans to rendezvous with your old friend Bunbury along the banks of the Ohio River this July and experience the Bunbury Music Festival!
This three-day alternative and indie rock music festival offers 80+ performances on six stages at Sawyer Point & Yeatman's Cove overlooking the Ohio River on July 11th -13th. The first bands announced for the 2014 festival are Fall Out Boy, Paramore and New Politics. The full lineup will be announced February 20th which is also when ticket prices increase. You don't want to miss this "Essential Summer Festival" as named by Yahoo! Music in 2012, Bunbury's inaugural year.
