July begins with a boom at LaRosa's Balloon Glow and Red, White, and Blue Ash. The sounds of summer fill the air all month long starting with Cincinnati Pops Orchestra's Red, White and Boom at Riverbend. Mid-July brings Bunbury Music Festival: a 3-day event featuring more than 80 performances on six stages along the riverfront at Sawyer Point & Yeatman's Cove. July closes with Macy's Music Festival: two evenings of jazz, R&B, blues and hip-hop performances at Paul Brown Stadium.
August has it all: food, fun, sports and music! Get your fill of a local favorite at Glier's Goettafest along Newport's riverfront, then stroll across the Purple People Bridge for the Cincy Blues Fest at Sawyer Point. Just north of Cincinnati is where you'll find the Western & Southern Open at Linder Family Tennis Center and Ohio Renaissance Festival.
Before summer's end be sure to cool off at Coney Island's Sunlite Pool, The Beach Waterpark, and Soak City Waterpark at Kings Island. Then stop by a nearby ice cream parlor before enjoying some baseball with Florence Freedom or Cincinnati Reds.
Labor Day weekend celebrates the end of summer with a bang when P&G Riverfest's fireworks display lights up the sky over the Ohio River, but the fun doesn't end there! Events like Old West Festival, Cincinnati Celtic Festival, Oktoberfest-Zinzinnati USA, MidPoint Music Festival and NASCAR racing at Kentucky Speedway definitely warrant a return visit in September.
