Ohio Renaissance Festival
Head underground to Ubahn Fest, the hip-hop and electronic dance music festival held in the Riverfront Transit Center beneath Second Street in downtown Cincinnati. Named for the German word "U-bahn" which translates to an underground rapid transit or metro, this year's lineup includes Big Sean, 2 Chainz, Steve Aoki, Gucci Mane and more. Sept. 8-9, 2017.
Old West Festival
Old West Festival takes you back to the Wild West at this recreation of Dodge City, complete with horse riding shows, trick shooting, melodramas and puppet performances. Enjoy a cold beer or sarsaparilla in the saloon, sing along to live music and chow down on turkey legs and rattlesnake chili. Sept. 9-Oct. 5, 2017 (weekends).
Cincinnati Food + Wine Classic
At the Cincinnati Food + Wine Classic, foodies can mingle with more than 150 chefs, brewers, vintners, artisans and spirit experts for three days of gourmet edibles bliss. This interactive culinary event brings in some of the top food talent in the nation. Attendees get to sample the area’s best cuisine and take part in wine seminars, Grand Tastings, dozens of culinary demos, food panel discussions, chef competitions and more. Sept. 22-23, 2017.
MidPoint Music Festival
RE(NEW)ED is a free community event produced by ArtsWave that celebrates the reopening of Music Hall, the state-of-the art, newly-renovated iconic home of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, Cincinnati Pops, Cincinnati Ballet, Cincinnati Opera and Cincinnati May Festival. The celebration will feature more than 50 live performances by these performing arts organizations and others at multiple stages and venues, plus behind-the-scenes tours of Music Hall, hands-on experiences and tours of the brand-new Cincinnati Shakespeare Company venue and renovated Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati. All events are free and open to the general public. October 7, 2017.
BLINK is a four-day light and art event spanning 20 city blocks from Cincinnati’s The Banks to Findlay Market. The event will feature more than 70 animated light shows projected onto buildings, new street art murals, interactive art sculptures and other light-based displays. October 12-15, 2017.
