Western & Southern/WEBN Fireworks presented by Cincinnati Bell at Riverfest is the ultimate end-of-summer party in Cincinnati USA. This free, family-friendly festival begins at noon on Sunday of Labor Day weekend at Sawyer Point & Yeatman's Cove. The day's events include KiddChris Cardboard Boat Race (2pm), Rubber Duck Regatta (3pm) plus P&G Family Fun zones, live music and vendor booths. The main event, Rozzi's Famous Fireworks display, lights up the sky starting at 9:05pm and is synchronized with music broadcast on WEBN (102.7FM).
Plan to stake out your spot early on either side of the river and make a day of it. Along with Sawyer Point/Yeatman's Cove, popular viewing areas on the Ohio side include the Serpentine Wall (blankets can be placed on the wall starting at 6am Saturday - park reopens at 6am Sunday) and Smale Riverfront Park along the river, Mt. Adams on the hill just east of downtown, and Mt. Echo Park a few miles west of downtown. On the Kentucky side try the riverfront areas of Newport (below Newport on the Levee) and Covington (near the Roebling Suspension Bridge) or the overlook at Devou Park
If a reserved seat is more your style, here are some options:
NOTE: Street closures and parking restrictions go in effect at various times on Sunday. Several bridges and roads near the river will close by 6pm, so plan accordingly.
