Western & Southern/WEBN Fireworks at Riverfest

This is the ultimate end-of-summer party in Cincinnati USA. The free, family-friendly festival begins at noon on Sunday of Labor Day weekend at Sawyer Point & Yeatman's CoveThe event includes live music, family fun zones, vendor booths, and a Live Broadcast from the Serpentine Wall with WEBN and the KiddChris Show starting at noon. The main event, Rozzi's Famous Fireworks display, lights up the sky starting at 9:05 p.m. and is synchronized with music broadcast on WEBN (102.7FM).

Plan to stake out your spot early on either side of the river and make a day of it. Along with Sawyer Point/Yeatman's Cove, popular viewing areas on the Ohio side include the Serpentine Wall (blankets can be placed on the wall starting at 6 a.m. Saturday - park reopens at 6 a.m. Sunday) and Smale Riverfront Park along the river, Mt. Adams on the hill just east of downtown, and Mt. Echo Park a few miles west of downtown. On the Kentucky side try the riverfront areas of Newport (below Newport on the Levee) and Covington (near the Roebling Suspension Bridge) or the overlook at Devou Park. If you're near the river, be sure to catch the Rubber Duck Regatta starting at 3 p.m. Read the Fireworks FAQ for even more information about the event.

Thanks to our region's vibrant riverfront area and surrounding hillsides, many area restaurants and bars offer a great view of the fireworks. Some will host special parties with admission fees, so be sure to call ahead for reservations. Venues include 10 West, The Beer Sellar, Bar LouieBrothers Bar & Grill, Buckhead Mountain Grill, The Celestial Steakhouse, Chart House, City View Tavern, Eighteen at the RadissonHooter's Newport, Incline Public House, Joe's Crab Shack, Mitchell's Fish Market Newport, Moerlein Lager HouseMontgomery Inn Boathouse, Mount Adams Pavilion, Primavista and Top of the Park
