Feel the breeze from the river, hear the crack of the bat and crunch on some peanuts or Cracker Jack at a Cincinnati Reds baseball game – a Cincinnati tradition for nearly 150 years.

Get even closer to the action at a Florence Freedom baseball game. A member of the independent Frontier League, Freedom games offer post-game bands, fireworks, giveaways, discounted tickets, food and drink specials and more.

One of the area’s newest summer sporting events is FC Cincinnati – the region’s first professional soccer team. A lively crowd of all ages flocks to the team’s matches held on the University of Cincinnati’s campus.

This July 6-8, 2017, experience the thrills, sights and sounds of NASCAR racing at Kentucky Speedway.

Cincinnati USA hosts the Western and South Open at Lindner Family Tennis Center August 12-20, 2017. This professional tennis tournament features many of the best players from around the world plus an amazing fan experience that includes a variety of food, wine, beer, shopping and entertainment.

Newport Aquarium offers a million gallons of fun with many hands-on experiences like touching a shark, interacting with frogs, touching a penguin and new in 2017, Stingray Hideaway where guests can enjoy the 17,000-gallon stingray touchpool. 

The Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden’s 75 acres house more than 580 animal species and 3,000 plant varieties making it one of the largest zoo collections in the U.S. Be sure to visit Africa an exhibit designed to bring guests closer to animals including Cheetah Encounter, Hippo Cove, the Meerkat Exhibit, and new in 2017, Painted Dog Valley home to adult and puppy African Painted Dogs, the most endangered carnivore in Africa.

The Duke Energy Children’s Museum at Cincinnati Museum Center encourages kids to climb, crawl, explore and learn about themselves and the world around them. This summer, be sure to visit the Museum Center’s special exhibit Star Wars And The Power of Costume featuring more than 60 hand-crafted costumes featured in all seven films in the Star Wars saga. The exhibit runs May 25-October 1, 2017.

Enjoy a scenic cruise along the Ohio River aboard BB Riverboats. All summer long, BB offers themed cruises for the kids like Pirates of the Ohio, Princess, and Super Hero cruises.

Ark Encounter, open since summer 2016, is a full-sized reconstruction of Noah's Ark and the attraction includes much more like a restaurant, gift shop and the Ararat Ridge Zoo home to Tibetan yaks, kangaroos, and ostriches. Plus, take a ride atop a donkey or camel.
