The Cincinnati Children’s Choir is a non-profit organization serving young singers from Southwestern Ohio, Northern Kentucky and Southeastern Indiana. Each year, over 1000 Greater Cincinnati children in grades one through twelve benefit from this educational venue focusing on performance as a result of the children’s education. The Cincinnati Children’s Choir is an educationally based choral ensemble program. Participants learn healthy vocal technique, sight-reading, music history and music theory while experiencing performance excellence using the philosophies and techniques of Carl Orff, Zoltan Kodaly, Jacques Dalcroze and Jerome Brunner. Presently, the program involves children in seven resident choirs, eleven satellite choirs, the Cincinnati Choral Academy, the Summer festival choir, Queen City Festival choir, and the Cincinnati Public School Honor Choir.
