It’s official: Fiona is a star. This Cincinnati Zoo hippo had her own Facebook show and has even been known to photobomb engagements. This girl has sass with a side of adorable. With all of the attention she’s receiving online, it’s not surprising that everyone is coming to Cincinnati to see this internet star. And with her antics, she definitely doesn’t disappoint.

If you are ready to plan your own trip to see Fiona, here’s your perfect roadtrip itinerary to have a hippo-rific time:

Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden

Of course this should be the first stop! Fiona and her mom Bibi tend to be most active between 3 and 5 p.m. so plan your trip to the Zoo accordingly. Hippo Cove is a popular destination, so be sure to leave some extra time to spend here. Temperatures must be 45 degrees or warmer with sunny skies for the hippos to be out. But know that this is not the only stop you need to make here. You can find babies galore throughout the venue – including Kendi the Black Rhino – and there are plenty of chances to get up close and personal during the animal encounters that happen each day.

Findlay Market

Did all of that animal fun make you hungry? Then your next stop should be Findlay Market, which is about a 10-12 minute drive from the zoo. Usually the hardest part of a roadtrip is getting everyone to agree on one place to eat. Findlay Market makes it easy with several dining options. You can get a taste of many different cuisines, and it’s all fantastic. So instead of arguing over where to eat, go to Findlay Market where everyone can eat happy.

With a belly full of great food, your next stop is Rookwood Pottery. Here you can find an adorable Fiona ornament to put on your tree, or a Hippo Cove commemorative coaster featuring the whole hippo family: Fiona, Bibi and Henry. Pick up the perfect memento to remember your trip and discover the amazing beauty of one of the most prestigious names in ceramics.

Over-the-Rhine

While you’re in the neighborhood, you have to explore more of historic Over-the-Rhine. It’s one of the top neighborhoods in the country for a reason. Wander around for great shopping, play in Washington Park, take a tour of the newly renovated Cincinnati Music Hall, or simply check out all of the amazing local murals. If you need more Fiona swag, visit Cincy Shirts and choose from the official Team Fiona collection of shirts, hats, cups, temporary tattoos and more.

A sweet treat is in order after so much Fiona fun! Stop by one of the many Graeter's locations around town to enjoy a scoop (or two – we won't judge!) of the toffee-based ice cream flavor with salted roasted peanuts and milk chocolate caramel truffles. A portion of the proceeds benefit the zoo!

Listermann Brewing

All great trips must come to an end, and we can’t think of a better place to toast your Fiona roadtrip than at Listermann Brewing. You’re likely to find Team Fiona, a New England IPA, on tap; plus, a full menu of wings, burgers and sandwiches to complement your brew.

And don’t forget to book a hotel, because after a full day of Fiona fun, you are definitely going to be tired.
