Located just minutes from downtown Cincinnati, Mt. Airy Forest is ready and willing to give you a quick nature fix while still getting you home in time for dinner.
Packed into the 1,459 acres of Mt. Airy Forest you will find around 13 miles of trails for your hiking and trail running pleasure, a disc golf course, the famous Everybody's Treehouse and 23 picnic areas to cool down after your nature excursion.
These trails are some of the most diverse and interesting in the area, and offer quite the challenge to the novice and expert alike. One of my favorite routes starts near the oval on Trail Ridge Road and winds down into one of the valleys.
From there you can enjoy serene singletrack through the hardwoods and evergreens, and work your way out of the valley to finish at Everybody's Treehouse. As the only ADA accessible treehouse in Ohio, Everybody's Treehouse gives a unique perspective of the forest and is a must see in this amazing park. If you are hiking with kids, this is a great destination for the little ones to look forward to!
