About

Owned and operated by the famous country singer of the same name, this nightclub remains one of the strangest haunted sites in the Midwest and has proven to be a major attraction for ghost hunters and enthusiasts alike. The fiction surrounding the supposedly haunted place is downright bone-chilling. The story goes: The building was constructed in the 1850s and was used as a slaughterhouse where a woman was beheaded by two men. It was then a speakeasy in the 1920s, where several unsolved mob murders were reported. People have been reporting paranormal encounters since the place opened in the 1970s. So, for country music enthusiasts and ghost hunters alike, Bobby Mackeys is a great place to dance all night, and maybe even see a ghost. Ask about the hourly ghost tours, and don't forget to give the Turbo Bull a whirl.Show more
